Welcome to Fettes Centre for Language & Culture (FCLC Edinburgh), an independent English language school at Fettes College, Edinburgh, Scotland. Our programme is designed to give our students constant opportunities to use English while learning about Scottish culture. As students come to us from around the world, it is also designed to promote kindness, understanding and respect of others. Through our weekly themes, we also want to make our students think and to build their confidence in and outside the class.

FCLC Edinburgh
Established in 2006 and accredited by the British Council in 2008, we aim to provide a high-quality programme for all our students. Based at the beautiful and historic Fettes College, we welcome students from around the world to learn, develop and use real English and communicate about important ideas. The combination of lessons, activities, sports, excursions and on-campus accommodation helps students develop friendships within a safe, positive environment. While our programme is fun, it is also demanding, and is meant for those who want to get the maximum benefit from a short stay in the UK. Constant stimulation means constant learning!

Who's it for
Our summer programme is for students aged 10 to 17, with different classes for older and younger students. The programme keeps our students active, safe and motivated at all times while offering as many learning opportunities as possible. We are an independent centre offering lessons, accommodation, meals and activities within our secure and beautiful campus.

Prep & Senior School
At Fettes College we recognise the importance in offering an on-site shop to cater for all your child’s uniform and sportswear essentials. Our experienced team are available to guide you through the uniform lists and options that are available, some of which are shown below in the photographs. The five uniform options can be viewed in the senior uniform list above. Although we accept online orders, we recommend parents or guardians to contact the shop directly to arrange an appointment where our team will give recommendations on sizing and requirements.
